If you transfer to Missouri S&T from another college or university and you plan to study engineering, you may need to complete some of the courses included in the common freshman year prior to being accepted to your major department. In this case you'll have a freshman engineering advisor for your first semester or two. You may be able to begin to take a few courses in your major while you are completing the freshman year requirements, provided you meet the prerequisites.
